I first discovered the Hobonichi in my interview with the wonderfully talented Ryo of A Midwinter Night’s Dream and was rather intrigued by it back then. I did not intend on jumping on this journaling bandwagon at first but I’ve been exploring my creative side more so I went looking for a journal that can handle fountain pen ink and watercolours well. And I have gone through almost every article and review of how lovely the Tomoe River paper is. Very enticing… So I purchased one and received it in early March.
The video takes you through what the box looks like and an overview of what the Hobonichi is. I decided to get my journal with a calendar year that starts in April 2015, which signifies the official start of the school semester in Japan. This is why many Japanese planners or journals have calendars starting either in January or April.
I hope you enjoy the video and will leave your feedback as I sincerely appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks for watching and do remember to comment or like or subscribe.
