Friday Feature is a series where I feature people who inspire me, or products that I find interesting. Today, we have Charlie telling us a little bit about herself. I find a lot of inspiration from Charlie’s bright and cheerful planner decoration!
Tell us a bit about yourself, what do you like to do when you’re not planning?
I love blogging and I equally love my day job! I’m an early years professional, I qualified as a teacher in 2008 and went on to specialise in SEN and I’m currently based in a primary school. When I’m not working I play the guitar and entertain *annoy* the family, visit the beach, walk my dog and generally hang out with my little family. I’m so lucky to live in Cornwall and have so many beautiful places to escape to, family in tow. There’s something about the sea air that leaves me refreshed and relaxed. I’m definitely a bare foot blondie.
What is your favourite planner and why?
At the moment I’m using The Original a5 Fluoro Orange Filofax and I’ve recently got my hands on a medium Lilac Kikki.K planner which I’m besotted with. What sets these planners apart from the rest is the quality and texture of the leather.
What is your favourite planner accessory or stationery?
I couldn’t live without to do lists pads, these are something I find myself reaching for constantly. I love washi tape, stickers and sticky notes, sometimes I use them all in my planners and sometimes my pages are just left plain and simple.
What inspired you to start a blog?
I started blogging after I reached quite a few followers on Instagram. I got so many questions on my page about planners and planner accessories that I thought I would go ahead and blog about the things my followers were interested in. Every time I get a new question – I simply turn it into a blog post.
What do you enjoy most about blogging?
The interaction with fellow planner and stationery addicts most of all! Also blogging encourages me to use my creative side, I love photography and I’m always trying to improve and think outside the box. Blogging has also opened the doors to many opportunities to work with companies and brands, I feel so privileged to work with them. Blogging allows me to do something I’m naturally not – a writer – I always wished I could write and now I’m getting a fair amount of practice.
Where would you like to go on a holiday?
If I could go any where right now it would have to be – Costa Rica, I’m thinking a tree house by the beach…
What are your favourite stores (online or brick & mortar) to shop in?
My favourite stores at the moment are HEMA and Paperchase but I always seem to find the prettiest sticky notes and washi tapes on Ebay.
If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
Oh man – Once I was asked what Winnie The Pooh character I was in a interview for a teaching post… (I said Piglet) hmm… one word… Strong.
And lastly, please leave a link to your blog/YouTube and social media so we can connect with you:
