Friday Feature: An Interview with Papered Love

Friday Feature is a series where I feature people who inspire me, or products that I find interesting. Today, we have the oh-so-pretty Annie from Papered Love telling us a little bit about herself. I came across Annie’s Instagram account and thought the photos of her planners and stationery were too cute.

Tell us a bit about yourself, what do you like to do when you’re not planning?

My name is Annie and I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I am 3/4 Vietnamese and 1/4 French. I’m a full time student at college and I’m studying Business Marketing. I enjoy stationery, planners, crafting, pen palling, and snail mail.

When I’m not planning, I enjoy writing letters to my pen pals. I’ve been pen palling for over 5 years now and there is just something amazing about friendships through correspondence. It brightens my day when I receive a pen pal letter among ugly bills!

What is your favourite planner and why?

My favorite planner is either the Kikki-k brand or the Kate Spade brand. I like the Kikki-k brand because they have very pretty planners with pastel colors. On the flip side, I like the Kate Spade brand because of how classy they look with their gold rings!

What is your favourite planner accessory or stationery?

I absolutely love washi tapes and stickers! They give me a lot of freedom to get creative with decorating my planner pages. I just can’t stop buying more either!

What inspired you to start a blog?

I follow many other inspiring planner ladies on Instagram. I adore Candi Billman and Jennifer Yau, they have such lovely blogs which inspired me to start my own and to take it seriously!

What do you enjoy most about blogging?

I like that I’m able to write blog posts to connect with others in this planner community. Instagram is very limiting and my blog gives me much more freedom.

Where would you like to go on a holiday?

My boyfriend Kevin and I would love to go to Hawaii on a holiday. It’s one of our dreams to travel there!

What are your favourite stores (online or brick & mortar) to shop in?

I love Kikki-k, Etsy, StudioL2E, CoolPencilCase, Jetpens, Erin Condren, Blitsy, and Michaels!

If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

I’ll have to go with eccentric. I’m a very charismatic person who is also quite quirky!

And lastly, please leave a link to your blog/YouTube and social media so we can connect with you:

Thanks for taking part, Annie! It’s been a pleasure getting to know you better and I certainly hope that the new year brings you more joy, love and laughter.

Note to readers: If you have a planner, home and living, crafting or cooking blog and would like to take part in the Friday Feature, please write to me at (seriously, don’t be shy!).

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!

I agree that Instagram can be limiting! It’s great to have a way to show pictures, but it never feels right with a big blurb about the picture. Plus, even with apps like Flipgram, it’s hard to show more than a few images at a time without being “spammy” or not showing each picture in a way it deserves!

A proper blogging platform is definitely better if you intend to write more than just a few lines. Instagram is great for drooling over pretty planner pictures though 😉
