An Organiser for My Organiser (and Purse)

Last week I was going through my collection of handbag organisers and makeup bags because I was looking for an organiser for my organiser. I dug out a cute linen baggy that I purchased from a Zakka House pop-up stall at Publika, Sri Hartamas. I was going to use it as a purse organiser (what it was intended for) but it was a bit too narrow and stiff. However, I have now found the perfect use for it and it shall be my planner caddy!

I have been thinking about how to carry my planner and supplies when I travel so this little caddy is going to come in handy. I don’t think I’ll use it as much in my everyday bag because I won’t really need all that extra stationery with me when I go out for groceries.

The black with red polka dots pouch is a purse organiser I use daily. I got it as a gift with purchase from a local pharmacy many years ago and have been using it in all my handbags. Like many women, I rotate my bags quite frequently, especially when I used to work, so a purse organiser makes the transfer between bags a lot easier. I like this one because it is fat enough to chuck a lot of my stuff in and the base is solid enough to stand on its own. You can’t see it in this photo but I have a some medication (allergy pills and paracetamol) and packets of tissue paper in the back pockets.

This is what it looks like with both the organisers inside a bag. The cotton bag (also from Zakka House) is a medium sized tote but both organisers can still fit quite nicely with some room to spare for a water bottle and a small umbrella. These organisers help keep things in place. I can say goodbye to a messy handbag and rooting around aimlessly 🙂

What do you use as a caddy or organiser for your planner? I’m really curious how you travel with your planner and accessories so please feel free to share in the comments below as I’d love to gather some tips from you.

Oh I love your planner caddies especially the fact that it keeps everything in one place. Not really sure if i will get one of these though because i don’t really have that many planner accessories and so don’t quite carry a lot of with me. I just normally put everything I need in my planner and put in my bag. But I love the idea of the planmer caddies 🙂

Thanks, Maureen! I’ve used this purse organiser for years and am really happy with it. As for the planner caddy, well… I was tempted to stuff more in but it got a bit heavy and I don’t think I’ll need that much stationery on-the-go. Hehehe…

What a brilliant idea, the perfect way to have all the bits of stationery you need for your planner to hand. I don’t carry any spare stationery with me except for what fits in my planner, and then my planner gets pushed in my bag.

Hi Jo, I don’t use the planner caddy on most days. But I’ll be travelling back to my parents’ place over Christmas and wanted something I can take with me and yet keep things organised. So this is the perfect fit 🙂

Hey Flory, The Eiffel Tower organiser is lovely and I like it a lot too 🙂 I don’t carry a specific makeup bag because I tuck them into the little pockets within my organiser. Despite being a beauty blogger, I don’t carry a lot of makeup. Only a lipbalm and lipstick. Hehehe…
