Hello! My name is Lyn and this is my little space to put down my thoughts about things that are going on in my life and things I am passionate about. I recently left my corporate job and am currently a stay-at-home-wife a.k.a. housewife. Leaving work was a very difficult decision but one I felt I had to make.
A few weeks ago, I came across a few photos on Pinterest showing a Filofax. They were decorated with all sorts of cuteness and I was intrigued because I am a sucker for cute. When I was a teenager, which was too many moons ago, a friend of mum’s gave me a Filofax. I cannot recall if it was a leather planner but the cover was blue. I didn’t have a use for it back then and very quickly tossed it aside. Those were days before the internets came along and we didn’t have adorable pictures on Pinterest to ogle at.
Fast forward to today, I decided what I need is a physical planner. When I was working, my time was quite structured and filled with meetings from day to night. I relied heavily on Outlook and my phone calendar to keep me in check. I stopped writing on paper and started doing everything on my gadgets.
Life is suddenly a lot simpler and quieter since leaving my job. I still wanted to keep a “structured” day because seriously, my brain can only function properly if my days are organised. So that’s when I popped into Kinokuniya in Suria KLCC to grab a Filofax. I think it’s the only bookstore in Malaysia that sells Filofaxes. I came home with a Raspberry Saffiano in personal size and a week later, I added a Lemon Patent Compact. Who would have thought that planning can get addictive? Or rather, collecting planners to be addictive! And let’s not talk about stationery… all I can say is my stash has grown in the last two weeks.
I’m not quite sure where this blog will take me. You will likely see a lot of planner related stuff along with cooking, housekeeping, crafting and whatever that tickles my fancy during the day. I also have a beauty blog that I am starting to actively post on again. My work took over my life in the last few years and sadly, many of my interests have dropped to the wayside.
Anyway, rather than rambling on too much in my first introductory post, I’ll just end here for now. I hope you will come back to my little corner every once in a while and if this is your first time, thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a nice day, folks!
